Those who are troubled by building menu, this will be great help. I myself used to spend hours after hour building menu for site. Before used to do JavaScript, but you have to agree that makes the site slow loading, not to mention compatibility and search engine issues? Simple HTML dose not have flexibility to make so nice looking menus too? So what’s the answer? Easy why not switch to CSS menu, much simpler and easy to manipulate and search engine have no problem with that too. HowToCreate.co.uk has an interesting guide to creating a purely CSS-based nested-list menu. I am sure this will solve your menu problem. There is nothing better than fast loading silk looks menu and which don’t ignored by crawlers. This technique uses absolutely no JavaScript except for IE5 (that’s absolute already I guess) for windows. Though didn’t got the chance to test it in IE7 yet, cause busey with Firefox 2.0 testing, but i think it will work just fine, well they said IE7 is better:P Here is the list of supported browsers:

  • Firefox 1.0 +
  • Netscape 7+
  • Opera 7+
  • Safari build 60+
  • OmniWeb 4.5+
  • Konqueror 3.2+
  • IE 5.5+ on Windows (using DHTML)
