We ought to know a lot of malware target Internet Explorer in the past. Obviously in last few years why we have seen a huge number of users are switching to use alternative browsers such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera. Which used to be a safe computing practice before by many industry experts, but it seems it no longer is; Reason a huge number of malware targeting the most popular alternative Firefox. There is a sneaky new spyware initially pretends to be an Adobe Flash Player update and, when executed on a user’s computer, creates a Firefox add-on called ‘Adobe Flash Player 0.2’. You might think no harm done with that but hey you are just half way through to a grave mistake that you will regret seriously. So what it does? The add-on replaces traditional ads on Google search pages with its own ads (Very business minded malware right?), and wait that’s not all, the spyware has the ability to track what pages you browse and what you search. Firefox 3 launch day set

Download Day 2008 is just around the corner, are you ready for it? After a series of beta and 2 (3 for Mac) release candidates, finally Mozilla decided to announce the Firefox 3 release date, which will be this Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Well many of you maybe already Firefox users and have seen all the Firefox release closely, but expect this one to be something totally rocking. It took nearly 34 months in development time, which expected to mark a major milestone not only for Firefox but as well as for any open source programme out there. Firefox developers and fans are eagerly anticipating the new browser. The launch is dubbed as Download Day 2008 in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest number of downloads in 24 hours. To get a jump start on their headcount, they’ve been registering users who pledge to download Firefox 3 when it’s released. Firefox 3 beta 2 a glimpse of a great product

After the first beta release of the much-anticipated Firefox 3 Web browser which offers some nice enhancements over the previous version, Firefox 3 beta two is now available for testing. Though it doesn’t differ much from its predecessor’s functionality or looks but there are some major performance upgrade has brought. Since it’s a beta release there are still some known bugs, which obviously will be taken care off before Firefox 3’s anticipated debut. Firefox 3 is based on the new Gecko 1.9 Web rendering platform. Firefox 3 has been built on top of this new platform resulting in a more secure, easier to use, more personal product with a lot of goodies to offer website and Firefox add-on developers. Firefox 3 Beta 2 includes approximately 900 improvements over the previous beta, including fixes for stability, performance, memory usage, platform enhancements and user interface improvements.
