I wonder sometimes if in this 21^st century we can really call ourselves civilized. No doubt that we are at the pick of technological, educational and economical advancement, but are we still civilized enough? Or should I say humane enough? I never saw the Great War or didn’t experience the horror of Genghis Khan, but for sure feeling and experience the modern time horror “Terrorism”. In throughout human history more than few billions of people slaughtered, burned or killed  for the sake of Empire, colony, race, religion, wealth so many more reason. Very few nations in the world can say that there wasn’t any genocide history in their pasts. But when human are so close to achieve the topmost pick of perfection, why barbarism still gloom our life? Why can’t we still call ourselves fully civilized? So many whys but so little answers; I am not going to run on history lessons, to remind who the biggest murderer was. Growing threats of mankind is nothing but “Terrorism”, you may agree or not but that’s the burning truth like the Sun.

Define terrorism?

There are few definition of the word “Terrorism“.

The systematic use of violence to create a general climate of fear in a population and thereby to bring about a particular political objective. Terrorism has been practiced by political organizations with both rightist and leftist objectives, by nationalistic and religious groups, by revolutionaries, and even by state institutions such as armies, intelligence services, and police.

Modern terrorism has come to be defined in part by the influential power of the mass media that terrorists co-opt in their efforts to amplify and broadcast feelings of intense fear and anger. As a type of unconventional warfare, terrorism is designed to weaken or supplant existing political landscapes through capitulation, acquiescence, or radicalization as opposed to subversion or direct military action.

But as you see whatever the definition is the result remain same, “Innocent civilian death”. Which is worst civilian got killed in the process of a conflict? Or systematic civilian slaughter? I think systematic slaughter since that’s premeditated. Even in general court of law (in most of the country) premeditated murderer get highest punishment if proven guilty. Terrorism is a premeditated murder, the worst crime of human life.

Controversy

There are some controversies of terrorism too, for example for some people it’s an act of war (a strategy, since conventionally they are unable to win). We live in the world of mass media, whoever control the mass media control the news (most of it). So some says the media create propaganda to make a group of people’s work as terrorism, while they were just engage in an unconventional war.

It’s utterly nonsense idea of strategic war, when the strategy of war is innocent civilian. In early century dispute used to be settled between armies, usually civilian were kept out of that. I think that method was much more humane. So my question is if someone have dispute, why not settle it across the table, if that didn’t work send the army-they send their and have a war. Why killing civilians who never saw a gun in their life, or a kid who didn’t even learn to call his father. Yes I do understand a terrorist organization just can’t come and talk over the table, I think they should given that chance-so that at least if some of them have conscience to become human again.

Yes there are other problems, like committed crime by non terrorist organizations are overlooked by international organization UN. My saying is if we want to have justice, make it equal for everyone through out the world. In UN we say everyone is equal, but hey we have 5 special members who can have every weapon they like, do whatever they like. Don’t you think its discrimination? Yes may be rest of the world isn’t developed or educated like them, but still it should be equal or nothing. For example- UN wants safe nuclear environment, why not do like this whoever own nuclear have to disarm regardless of any circumstances. Than UN can set an example, and say yes we serve equal rights. Lastly some leaders and country who wants to secure some organizations, even if they are threat to humanity. I want to say hem if I had the chance- Under what ideology you want to help murderers? For religion? No way, no religion says murdering civilian is legal. The religion does say uphold the human rights and Law, killing other religion isn’t one of them. Grow up leaders, you guys won’t have anyone to rule, if you guys let terrorist kill everybody.
