Yes exactly in the Middle East. Whole world has stuck in the Middle East civilian causalities. The innocent lives lost recently in Lebanon due to Israeli attack. There are many problems in the whole worlds, other than Middle East. For example- Violence in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan, East Timor, Uganda, Angola, Senegal, Somalia, Congo. Hell I think I didn’t list even all of them. And none of the problem is smaller than Middle East, some even much more deadly. Like Sri Lanka already few thousands died within just last week. Reported that most are the woman and Children. In Congo recently more than hundreds causalities in just one clash. But world still focus on Middle East, almost undivided attention. : PBut how can we blame, since its really true Middle east on fire. First Iraq now Lebanon, both suffering heavy causalities. Let’s clarify some of the concern.
IRAQ
Many of we think or believe Iraq is under American occupation. More or less that’s true, Since Iraq do not have a sovereign government. The work closely with American and other allied forces for security. Administration is paramilitary. According to US officials they can not handover the control of Iraq to its government due to security risk. Iraqi govt. is not ready yet to take over and handle threats by itself. As newsgroups reported now most of the attack and activities are from Shia Muslim groups (Kurds), some Sunni groups (Saddam Supporters). Through out last few months they attack on each other and they attack US soldiers. So how to handle these separatist, since it’s not doing any good than killing innocent civilians.
As situation dictate growing unrest against us policy, its vary clear neither Shia nor Sunni wants US troops to be in Iraq. Not only the armed separatist but also majority of civilians do not want them their. Several reason for that—1. US soldiers Detainees abuse incident. 2. The killing of Shia leader (Who was very popular Imam as well) 3. The armed attack in a mosque (well they should know neither shi nor Sunni wil tolerate that, no matter what reason) 4. The incident of killing children’s and women by US soldiers (well US can explain that to the world, by telling they were armed, but they can’t to those whose family was dead). And lastly as for the Iraqi officials well everybody knows they were chosen, not elected, so we can tell those Toys. So certainly USA presence is worsening the situation. But off course they can’t leave also leaving Iraq like that.
So my suggestion for getting out this “struck in the middle” situation is Non US presence. I know it’s a matter of lots of things, and lots of resources. But I truly think if UN and International community think better for Iraq, and stop murder of innocent people that is the solution. UN should deploy non US peacekeepers like Australia, France, Italy, and Germany. That will ease up lots of things, like normal people wont consider them killer of their family, disgracer of their holy mosque, and I am sure it will open an opportunity to avoid civil war in Iraq.
Lebanon
Well we all know the horrors of Lebanon. Tens of thousands of civilians has been dead, due to recent Israeli attack on Lebanon. Israel attacked because they want to take revenge of two soldiers kidnapping by Hezbollah. As both Lebanon and Israel said those soldiers were found inside Lebanese territory. So how come it can be an act of war? As we all know Israeli soldiers were in a territory of another sovereign country. Well maybe for UN that wasn’t so important. Now let’s talk about Hezbollah. Hezbollah is an Islamic radical group who control southern Lebanon. According to USA and UK they are terrorist organization. Though from the Lebanon point of view they are just armed militant. Israel have right to protect it’s sovereignty as a country. But it has no right to attack a country for two soldiers, who shouldn’t be in that place on the first place. For two soldiers they killed 10,000+ civilians, what the hell is that? It’s tit for tat. Hezbollah wasn’t been even exist if Israel wouldn’t have committed genocide in Sabra and Shatila. Anyway we need solution to stop the killing in Lebanon. Neither Hezbollah nor Israel have right to sacrifice so many innocent lives.
So what international community can do to prevent further massacre. As history says Israel will come back, and that time it might go more far. One Disarm Hezbollah—I think Hezbollah should consider giving up arms, at least makes a treaty not to attack Israel unless they are attack upon. And Israel should not violate international boundary for any reason. No cross border gorilla mission for assassination. They won’t attack unless they were attack upon. And as for countries like USA, who deliver Israel with Arms, should consider stopping it. Cause what’s the use sending medical supply in Beirut and Bomb shell in Haifa: P International peacekeepers should stationed at the border. If any attack from any side, that side should be dealt extremely, like international embargo, ban from trading etc. UN has to be seriously neutral. Otherwise this will be a starting battle of next War of the century.
