Ok first of all this will be first post of 2007 in bloggism.net. Happy New Year everyone, especially to my valued readers and Feed subscribers. May this new year brings you joy and happiness to your life.

Though 2007 starts very bad for Google, Microsoft manages to keep it together at the start of new year. It will be certainly a hopefully good year for Big blue, since now they are extending their dominance in automobile industry. More precisely saying Automotive Software industry. Automaker Ford and software powerhouse Microsoft are expected to announce plans for Windows based, in-car computers. shortly (2nd week of January,2007). Microsoft’s this new innovation “Sync” won’t yet drive your car for you, but will help drivers with their computing in important ways. This new “Sync” will be integrated with upcoming Ford models. Once “Sync” integrated into new Ford vehicles, consumers will be able to utilize the handsfree cell phone capabilities, media downloads, automatic navigation updates(Do I need to say it will be Windows Live Map not Google Map) and e-mail.

The official announcement most likely to be announced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, beginning Jan. 7, and the Consumer Electronics Show which opens Jan. 6. Microsoft officials already acknowledged the joint announcement of the project, though Ford didn’t make any statement so far. According to WSJ released information stating that the technology will be available in two models of the 2007 Ford lineup.  It is expected to be available for all Ford models in 2008.  It is also said to be integrated into Lincoln and Mercury models in the future.

About this “Sync” nothing is known, though Microsoft has “Sync Toy” which is obviously not for automobiles. After January 10, when Microsoft will officially unveil the project, that’s the time we will know for sure what’s real “Sync” is.
