CounterSpy was a good program in the past - the latest release (v3.x of Enterprise) is appalling. It removed vital components from many of our machines becasue of an error in the definitions, then today it turned another machine into a brick by denying access to all services (including itself) as a legitimate driver install was "trying to alter startup settings". I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and we won't be renewing our Enterepise licences again.

KJE \\"brick machine\\" with CounterSpy? I must say that is a serious allegation. Personally never had any problem, nor my friends reported any such thing. Did you try to get in touch with their support service? since you are enterprise license user--you should get a pretty good service.

Jean, why don't you read this page on counterspy. The "CounterSpy V2 is the Only Anti-Spyware with" section located at the bottom portion of the page will give you the answer :).

does the counterspy anti-spyware scanned/quarantined list of Spyware details need to be seen? i was under the impression that counterspy only intercepts malware and infections that are from their updated database.

does anyone know if this is the case?
