This will be the follow on of all my previous crash courses for bloggers. Actually there isn’t that much differences between blogger who blog for money and blogger who blog for fame. In my understanding all blogger belong to either of this group. Doesn’t matter newbie blogger, personal blogger, corporate blogger or business blogger all either blog for money or fame (seeking exposé of their thoughts). The thin line that separates both groups from each other is the money.  Both seek better position in search engine ranking; both require good SEO, marketing, keywords tricks etc.

Unlike other internet businesses blogging isn’t really a business, in fact it’s more like playing football with a sponsor’s logo on it. So that means you have to play well, to get better sponsor, which will give you better lucrative earning income.  Same goes with blogging, earning potential goes up when you blog better, and your blog traffic goes high. I remember once I was proposed by a company to promote one of my sites, in the name of SEO they will play with my content, make it full with high value keywords. But what I was thinking that, what is the use of that, where my thoughts and idea will be buried with “keyword diplomacy”.  Yes I do want high traffic, good ranking in search engine but I also want to be a Blogger who can speak his own mind. Search engine ranking, SEO, Keywords all are important, so that people can find your blog. But keep in mind the one things make blogger different from all other content writer, being original, to thyself. Why?

It’s very significant to realize this. For example you hire someone to make your blog SEO, valuable keywords populated but ignore to put your own thoughts, you get a search ranking in Google page one. On the other hand someone who puts his/her own thoughts and idea put a simple blog post somewhere in Blogspot.com, and somehow manage to get in Google’s search page number ten. You have 50 visitors first day, the other person only 1. But due to lack of original content, your visitors refuse to come back to your site. But the other Blogger’s blog keep re-visited and got recommended.  So after few months that other blogger have 10 back link to his site and you have zero. So as you know Google’s policy, even if you have good keywords, that other blogger will be up in search page due to back links. So ultimately you become a loser. So whether you blog for fame or money, you do need reputation.

1. First Blog earning essential is your contents (be original).
2. Second would be presentation (follow the ethics, parts of blog, language).
3. If you are not community blogger, or have access to blog design control, better practice is to follow Google’s webmaster guidelines. It does not only help you to get listed in Google search better but also other search engines and RSS search.
4. Sign up for Google Analytic and Sitemap. Both are free, easy to use. Sitemap will help you to understand & observe your every page how it is indexing in search engine, how many search, if there is any dead links, how many back links etc. on the other hand Google Analytic will help you to observe what are the search term used to search you page, who visited, how many pages views, popularity of your keywords present in your blog, how much is the possible value of that keywords etc. in full details. These two awesome tools are the best SEO tolls you will ever get for free and full of resources.
5. Lastly in Google Keyword tools check what the popular searches are recently, or a given period. This will help you to understand what people are looking for, so that you can blog to meet up the demand. Oh did I mention that you can even see the CPC values of those keywords and it’s free too.
