This isn’t the first time Government agency’s (most notably US & UK) launching iPhone/iPad application to reach out to public. Ever since the emergence of iPhone, different government agencies around the globe tried to harness the power and reach out to popular i (Phone and Pad) users. Now the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) has just released its very first mobile app, for helping parents deal with their worst nightmare, “missing a child”. Obviously this is a step forward to arm parents with right needed info at the time of worst case scenario for quicker law enforcement reporting. According to FBI – the FBI (and iTunes for that matter) is not collecting or storing any photos or information that you enter in the app. All data resides solely on your mobile device unless you need to send it to authorities. Please read your mobile provider’s terms of service for information about the security of applications stored on your device. –credit: FBI News Stories So that means…
Skyfire on iPhone backfired, dose it matter at all?
Skyfire the special web browser for the iPhone which offers the ability for iPhone users to view Flash video content by transcoding it into HTML5 on the fly. We all know Apple has this thing against Flash, the Web’s most popular video format; says it’s buggy, it’s not secure and depletes the battery and bla bla. So why sudden change of heart? Why did Apple approved Skyfire, which brings Flash on iPhone? Is it because Skyfire built in accordance with Apple guidelines, including the use of a WebKit browser core shared with Safari, and H.264 adaptive streaming and Apple wants’ to prove it excepts any application which follow guidance laid out by them. Or is it some other agenda like prove a point that Flash isn’t that big deal and fading away. So what happen to Skyfire? A lot of people were seriously existed to see Flash coming on iPhone. But despite widespread excitement over the first app to work with Adobe’s plug-in, it turns out that Skyfire isn’t very useful. My experience of Skyfire – it’s disappointing and i just wasted my hard earned $2.99. Despite all he whistle blowing and overwhelming hope it didn’t work any where near…

Facebook’s Recommended Subscriptions
About two weeks ago when Facebook unveiled it’s Recommended Subscriptions Page Browser, it was just another FB lab experiment to test out how user take it. But it turned out to be a massive featured recommendation engine that silently harnessed the 500 million users recommendations. The potential for that sort of user power behind any recommendation engine is killer, and the fact is it’s FB we are talking about. Page Browser seems completely standalone (well at least for now), you have to directly navigate in there rather than via any navigation link from main interface (user must be logged in though). Facebook supply recommendation based on user’s age, profile data, location, gender etc. FB recommendations will be highlighted as big and bold icons. Online game economy
Video Gaming industry hasn’t been this popular ever, average video game users are just climbing up by minutes. Video game industry is already a huge economical power house and it’s getting huger. The scenario is a lot different than what its used to be 5 years ago. Console games are not making money, while online and mobile games are taking over the market. Currently online and mobile games generates about 35% of total game industries revenue, and it’s market share growing. The way it’s going Consol game will be a relic like thingy in near future. So why is such a boom we are seeing in gaming economy? Console games revenue model was typical selling the game model, which don’t exactly fit for today’s gaming economy. On the other hand today’s online and mobile games got strong revenue models, based on user demand & supply rather than sales revenue, well most of them. For example- FarmVille, created by Zynga, an online gaming company based in San Francisco, has become a web phenomenon, played by more than 56 million people within three months of its launch, making it the fastest-growing social game on the internet. After the United States, Britain has…
Flash finally onboard iPhone
You are not seeing ghost! That’s right Adobe flash can be run on iPhone 4.0, not just any flash the latest version. Hold your horses before you run over people or something, there is a catch! This can be done only by certain hack Comex, the same infamous (to Apple)/ renowned (to millions of consumers) hacker who developed the browser-based JailbreakMe tool, has done what should have been impossible and brought Flash video capabilities to the iPhone 4, and he claim that it will work on iPhone 3GS and the iPad as well. This Frash lets iPhone users view Adobe Flash content on their phones. This is certainly not any windows click and get hack, user’s iPhone have to be jail broken first prior to perform the actual hack which is a bit complex indeed. This is no news to us that Apple’s firm stand against letting Flash, the de facto web video standard into iPhone made Flash lost its glory (even if it’s not that significant yet). This also allow the rise of HTML5, even video sharing mammoth like YouTube embraced HTML5, where once Flash was one and only. So if you are Flash fan, seriously pissed with…
