This will be the continuation of the “Blog Essentials: SEO Tips- Part One”. I already have discussed in part one how important is SEO in your blog. I am trying to layout a foundation of basic SEO guidelines that will help to make your blog much more search engine friendly. So let’s continue from where we left in part one.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization Guidelines)

Increase in-bound link (The links that point towards your blog, from other sites) as much as you …

“How to make your Blog seen?”, question is very common for every bloggers. Because there are millions of blogs written every day, lots of them are very quality content and unique. But majority of them are visited by only handful of readers. It’s a major letdown for a blogger who spend so much time to build up quality content, but no one there to read it. What’s the use of writing if there is no one to read it? Not only from the perspective of bloggers who blog for fun, also from the perspective of a professional blogger this …

As I discussed the onsite advertisement scope that increase the earning capabilities of your blog, this part I will discuss the non-conventional method and referral methods that can boost your blog’s earning a lot. But keep in mind no matter what method you use, all methods primary concern is traffic, so you have to think in that way. Blog unlike static website changes frequently, the visitors interact with the blog which builds a unique relation between blog and its readers. We all see thousands of referral advertising everyday on the web, but why referrals in blog differ than the static web? Since user are interacting with blog, its more likely they will interact with the blog’s referred products compare to a static web referred products. But off course some of the elements decide whether referral is good for your blog or not, which referral program is for you etc. Those elements are—

Demography of your readers (For example- if your blog readers are mostly female, it’s more likely they will response to a referral in beauty products rather than beer). So you need to know what type of reader you have (Geo location, teast, sex, age etc.), what are the things suitable for them, or gain more response.
Your blogs contents/type does put a bigger role on selecting referral service. For example I have seen some blogger put Amazon book list on their sidebar, but they are blogging about gadgets, economy, IT etc. So it will be very rare if an IT researcher/reader will look for those kinda books, he/she will better response to gadgets, e-book etc. stuffs.
How old is your Blog-sounds weird but yes that’s the key element that defies all. If your blog running a long time, its very much possible that you already have some regular visitors and they trust/rely on your contents, so it will be far more easy to convince them to buy something. A new blog, which doesn’t have a large number of returned visitors, will not able to do the same for you. Here comes the word reputation. Now you know why you need reputation.

Your blog has more earning potential than you can even imagine. So many ways you can earn through your blog. But mainly you can put in two groups. One- On site/Blog Advertising. Two- Referral programs. I will go first with the On Blog advertising potential/opportunities. I put together as much as resourceful list, I avoided some due to their legitimacy concern and the most common one as we all no about that: Google adsense.
Blogads
Blogads.com is a network of influential bloggers who collaborate to promote and sell blog advertising. Advertisers order, manage and renew fixed-period ads or sponsorships on your blog. Blogads do the search and negotiation with advertisers, In exchange they took 30% of your ad revenue.
The Good: Flexible advertisement design, total control on ad appears in your blog. Networked with other blog that runs Blogads, which gives your blog traffic boost.
The Bad: They take so called 30% of your earned revenue which sounds excessive for new bloggers. Blogads is now invitation only. To participate in Blogads, you need to be sponsored by a blogger in the network. Or you can ask for adding your application in queue to wait if anyone sponsors you.
The Catch: There isn’t any certainty, whether you will have a sponsor in near future. They say 30% they will get, but practically they also take transaction/processing cost of advertiser’s payment and cost to send you payment both. So practically about 45% goes in there pocket. And their Terms and Condition for publishers isn’t flexible, if you discontinue publishing an advertisers ad, you have to pay the amount advertiser paid to Blogads.

This will be the follow on of all my previous crash courses for bloggers. Actually there isn’t that much differences between blogger who blog for money and blogger who blog for fame. In my understanding all blogger belong to either of this group. Doesn’t matter newbie blogger, personal blogger, corporate blogger or business blogger all either blog for money or fame (seeking exposé of their thoughts). The thin line that separates both groups from each other is the money.  Both seek better position in search engine ranking; both require good SEO, marketing, keywords tricks etc.
Unlike other internet businesses blogging isn’t really a business, in fact it’s more like playing football with a sponsor’s logo on it. So that means you have to play well, to get better sponsor, which will give you better lucrative earning income.  Same goes with blogging, earning potential goes up when you blog better, and your blog traffic goes high. I remember once I was proposed by a company to promote one of my sites, in the name of SEO they will play with my content, make it full with high value keywords. But what I was thinking that, what is the use of that, where my thoughts and idea will be buried with “keyword diplomacy”.  Yes I do want high traffic, good ranking in search engine but I also want to be a Blogger who can speak his own mind. Search engine ranking, SEO, Keywords all are important, so that people can find your blog. But keep in mind the one things make blogger different from all other content writer, being original, to thyself. Why?

In earlier crash courses you have already adopted with Blogging terms, the content writing & Blogging software. Now lets move on to the next level, which is nonetheless important to evolve as a successful Blogger. Blog promotions; Blog marketing; Blog advertising; Promoting, marketing, and advertising your Blog to increase visibility, gain and keep an audience, find recognition and fortune in Blogging. Without Blog promotion no matter how good writer you are, no one will ever know you exist. Successful Blog promotion requires announcing your Blog existence. You might have been seen thousands of links regarding Blog marketing and promotion, and thought of its complicacy. But honestly saying it’s a lot easier, when you understand it. Not only that when you finally understand the Blog promotion and marketing, you will save a lot of money, which you might have wasted in wild goose chase. So let’s just follow the steps and work out with these, shall we?

This is the second part of the Course. You will find Part I here.
