(updated)
Blogging is a whole new journalism/literacy evolved in our virtual life on the net. It’s getting so popular that now business organizations use it to catch up clients, an earning alternative for people, and a job so many ways.
Well since the Blogging things popup in our life so is some totally new terms & definitions. For someone new in Blogging is certainly very uneasy to cope up with these words/terms. So as the beginning of my Blogging course I will start with the terms/words that you really have to be familiar with. You will see how easy it is to become a guru in Blogging. Hell soon you can be teaching Blogging to others.
Blogs

Also known as weblog or web logs. A weblog, which is usually shortened to Blog, is a type of web content where entries are made (such as in a journal or diary), displayed in a reverse chronological order. In easy words a typical Blog combines text, images, and links to other Blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Most Blogs are primarily textual although some focus on photographs (photoblog), videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting). It can be a simple discussion like this or even a review or debate or just simple creative writing.

Throughout the world international incidents represented by two major groups. One the international community (the UN) and the policy violators (Rough neck leaders or group). But always there is another major group stays behind the scene and control/influence the whole scenario, and stays out of the picture. Neither media nor UN don’t know or don’t announce their presence. Surprisingly they hold the key to resolve the whole situation, but they don’t use it.
Let’s start from Asia, shall we. Nepal a small monarchy, home of Himalaya has been turned into a civil war zone since 2002. Issues are rebel asking for democratic form of govt., without the influence of the royal family, and royal family won’t vow to that. So rebel movement turned into a bloody warfare. Here UN can just easily chop in the whole situation, by just pressure the royal family to arrange a democratic form of Monarchy. But hell why they will do that? They are good pressuring Middle East and Africa, Nepal don’t have any lucrative value: D

AT&T Inc. is the largest provider of both local and long distance telephone services, wireless service (Cingular), and DSL internet access in the United States. The current existing AT&T, which is based in San Antonio, Texas, was formed in 2005 by SBC Communications’ purchase of its former parent company, AT&T Corp. As a part of the merger, SBC shed its name and took on the iconic AT&T moniker (originally American Telephone and Telegraph) and the T stock-trading symbol (for “Telephone”).  AT&T became zero ground of a serious Hacker attack this Tuesday. According to the news which was originally released by ZDnet approximately 9 hours ago, more than 19,000 online customers personal records has been stolen by hackers.

Let’s discuss best four paid Blogging utilities or The “Big Four” according to media available, though these provide trial version or shareware version. Are they really impressive compare to free utilities we use? Are they worth paying the price?

TypePad [http://www.typepad.com]

It’s more like a Blog hosting system rather than a utility. Pc Magazine’s editor’s choice and many more award winner cost starting $49.50/yr up to $149.50. They offer tree Levels of Blog hosting—Pro Level, Plus Level and basic level with 30-days free trial. Apart from traffic, good looks, easy design it didn’t had any effect on me. It’s recommended for those who can’t or don’t want to buy a domain and setup his/her own Blog. A little effort can certainly save you the cost of TypePad. Since I noticed they are using almost MovableType alike Blog software which is free, they just make some modification and put some script which allow user to use

Well it’s abot time to Feeding on your own Feeds. :P
I am not sure how many are aware about this, that we Blogger can put advertisement in our Live Feed too. You can say almost same way we put Adsense advertisement in our web pages, we can put in our RSS2/RSS or any other Feed. Google just gave the green light to it’s Adsense for Feed program. Soon feed burner will also ad a function to add Google Adsense in your feed with just a few clicks.
This is very important, if you have notice there are more …

What’s with the Microsoft and the word “Live”? it’s seems to be every new addition software or gear Big Blue bring out from it’s pocket comes up with a “live”. Example- Microsoft’s Windows Live and Office Live and Xbox live :D.

On Aug. 29, 2006, Microsoft has announced that they will be expending alliance with Verizon to bundle various Windows Live services with subscriptions to Verizon’s DSL and FiOS Internet services. Verizon customers will have the option of a co-branded Verizon/Live.com home page, a Verizon/Live.com search page, and e-mail access through Windows Live Mail. They will also receive a Windows Live Toolbar, a co-branded version of Windows Live Messenger, and Windows Live One-Care. According to Microsoft’s press release this alliance will give user Flexibilities, Safety and Communication power.

Long awaited Microsoft’s windows Vista’s price released in Amazon few hours ago. But big blue’s Vista won’t be available for shipping up until January, 2007. According to dealer Microsoft Windows Vista can be only preorder online, at this moment; shipping will have to wait until beginning of 2007. On Monday, Microsoft accidentally posted Canadian pricing for Vista on its Canadian Web site and then pulled the price list from the site, within few hours when the information was out in the ZDnet site. Converted to U.S. dollars, the prices for Vista in Canada were higher than the U.S. prices listed on Amazon.com’s Web site. But actual price list was posted in both ZDnet and Cnet first. So most probably Amamzon.com uses that accidental lick out pricelist as the basis of their price for Vista.

Yes recently we are observing growing concern of saving real Blogger’s writing. But traditional copyright is expensive, some copyright like copyscape offer low cost copyright and free too(limited). But we Blogger need something flexible yet F-R-E-E.
After a wide search I noticed Creative Commons(CC), it’s free. You can copyright your work for free-Video, Audio, Writing, Blog almost everything. They offer many categories of copyright like—

StopBadware.org, a consumer protection initiative backed by Google, Sun Microsystems and others. I don’t know how many of you had noticed it, usually if you have safe search on in Google, and you were about to enter in a bad site like spy ware, fishing, virus loaded than it shows you a warning screen and also software survey. Surprisingly Monday Central time that warning punches a “Badware” tag on AOL v 9.0, AOL’s free client-software. I was completely shocked; does that mean AOL producing Badware? No way, can’t be happening. So what’s the story?
Some reasons the report (you will find it here) mention for the decision are AOL’s inclusion of bundled software applications and nondisclosure of additional installed components. Following were the exact word:

Google announced on Monday that it will sell advertising on eBay’s auction sites and create a system to help buyers directly call sellers. Under the deal, Google will provide exclusive text advertising on eBay outside the U.S. Full terms of the agreement were not disclosed. But EBay already have a current contract with Yahoo for US advertising since May, 2006.  Its big blow for Yahoo!, since Google is the barricade on Yahoo’s way to No. one search engine.
Google and eBay will also develop a service that allows users to place phone calls through their personal or laptop computers or handheld devices by clicking on a link in an Internet ad. The “click-to-call” Web site technology is intended to reach a wider audience than the current text-only Web site. The new technology will allow potential buyers to call sellers by clicking a link on a Web page.
